 Individual Sessions

Our first assessment meeting is a two-way opportunity for you to see if the relationship is right for you and for us to agree the focus of the sessions (which may change over time).

I have a fairly relaxed style in which hope you will find a safe & relaxed environment .  I am empathetic and non-judgemental and will respect your privacy and confidentiality.
I draw on a variety of approaches and will tailor my approach to you as an individual .

I see clients on a short and long term basis; this might be for a specific problem or something more complex and deep-seated.
I can be flexible with appointments but ask for you to be willing to engage in the process .

I very much look forward to meeting you.

Relational Supervision

Hello . I am a senior accredited counsellor working in private practice and agencies. I have been a therapist for nearly 30 years and have specialised in short term and post-trauma work. I come from a person centered background but would describe myself as integrative.
I am a qualified Relational Supervisor and welcome potential  supervisees, both individuals and facilitated groups.   I am also open to helping supervisees from a non-counselling / helping professions background.
My background is in Intensive Care Nursing. I have worked all over the world as a Critical Incident Responder and Trauma Consultant .  I am an EMI practitioner (similar to but different from EMDR).
I can offer on-site management support in times of crisis and also facilitate group meetings in cases of conflict , industrial accidents, or death of a colleague (for example) .
I see individuals in my home in NE Bristol , but can travel to your home or work for group work if required.

Do contact me for an informal meeting  about your requirements and what support i can offer you.

Counselling & Coaching : Is it for me?

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations.

You do not have to reach a crisis before you seek help,
or even be clear about what the problem is. Often a state of confusion is a good starting point.

Counselling may help with a variety of difficulties and concerns:
Relationship problems
Low self-esteem
Unfinished business
Sexual abuse
Work difficulties

“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear”
